Buy Low and Sell High

This old adage seems to be regional with respect to coins.
I recently bought a 53 PCGS MS66 slabbed dime from ebay for the fair price of $13. I had done previous ebay searches for what this dime was going for and knew the price range. When the dime came in the mail, however, it had numerous hairlines on it that bothered me. I took the coin with me to a local coin show and started using it to haggle for other coins that I was more interested in it. I know PCGS-slabbed coins are expensive at dealer tables (usuallly almost 2x the cost on ebay), but I didn't expect to be able to trade the coin for more than I paid for it. I was quite happy when I let the dealer haggle me down from $25 worth of coins to $18, we shook hands and made the trade.
I suppose I have no point in posting other than that the value of a cheap coin increased merely by taking it to a coin show.

Just kidding! I have no idea what these go for, but sounds like
you did fine with it. Now, repeat 100,000 times!
