Sold most of my slabbed Barber dimes this Fall to finance a place in Michigan.

I would never tie all of my $ into bricks and mortar!!!You will end up paying 2 1/2 times what you originally purchased the house for assuming you get a 30 year mortgage.

No, but I parted with some personal inventory to redo a kitchen one time.
I should have kept the 1796 Eagle ( in 58), and a 1795 ( in 55) among other things.........and just taken it out of cash flow over a period of time.
