    Has no clue .

  • that's pretty funny - as he is near me. Tom is right - he has no clue. Lakewood Ranch, while a higher income area, needs a coin shop like I need another hole in my head. We have just about the nicest shop in downtown Sarasota as it is, and no matter what this guy does, he will be a distant second to that one. I don't see collectors going to a new shop because they don't want to drive the six miles to a well established high-end shop.

The guy contacted me last year via my website. I wasted some of my time to explain to him that he is out of his mind "unless" he is hoping to catch some people unaware and zing zong them.

Now a link to ebay. This is funny.

I beg to disagree....the person has a plan and experience....do you know the old joke about 1 lawyer in town who did no business....as soon as the 2nd lawyer moved into town they did loads of business....

I would guess we have 20-25 so called dealers in the three county area - sound about right to you?

I don't know Frank, let me look in the sprint book............

There's 6 ( coin dealers) listed here in the Port Charlotte/Punta Gorda book ( Hey I'm not in there!)

But it's not even the point. The guy is looking for something that doesn't exist at least in the real world. And as you know, we don't live in the real world Frank. We live in "paradise" ( image) where "everyting is eyree mon". ( try to say that with a mid-west accent)

    Yeh sure it is.

  • I love this part of what he wants to happen.

<< <i>Since I own my own business presently, I won't be there all the time with you. I have my own interests to run. >>

He wants someone to be his "partner" by putting in time AND money and he will hardly ever be there. So the new sucker has to run the shop while this guy is somewhere else.

what a deal, where do I sign up and send my 100k.

  • and doesn't he say he is seeking a "silent" partner?

Silent as in give me your dough and shut up about it.

For that kind of vig, it sounds like he should partner up with a couple of nice mob boys like Vinney and Quito

  • Rich people need loans too, and in the state of Florida, we could charge up to 25% per month on loans. Even if only a few large loans were written per month, we could cover our overhead with just that income

Yup! I smell a rat and it isn't me!!
