I always like it when I get to disagree with Dorkkarl. Alas, this is not one of those times image - that coin looks original and pretty to me.

    Looks great!
  • I think I will need to see it in person....where is the coin right now?????? image
  • Beautiful, toning looks to be part of the coin, as it should.
    Coins, shiny coins!

PCGS body bagged this coin for questionable toning. I also think it is natural toned, but PCGS disagreed.

Paul, are the images accurate for color? Thanks.

Mark...My photo skills are sorely lacking.image The only problem with the photo is the shadowing, it doesn't show the color all the way around the coin. I will try to photograph to coin outside the capital plastic holder and attach photo.

The new pics look more "incriminating" - I would suspect they are more accurate than the initial ones?

The second set of pics do seem a bit more suspect- I especially think the second reverse pic looks a little odd.....

It's truly funny, no make that truly sad, that people in this day and age are so wrapped up in their own little world that they refuse to try and teach someone else the correct or accepted way of doing things.

    Yes they are.

The obverse looks NT, but I have admit that the more I look at the coin the more I agree reverse does look AAAAAATTTTTTT.image

The first pictures were taken out side in the sun light and had more shadowing than I realized. I did not mean to misled the the 1st posters with my crappy photos.image

    AT to me.
Family, kids, coins, sports (playing not watching), jet skiing, wakeboarding, Big Air....no one ever got hurt in the air....its the sudden stop that hurts. I hate Hurricane Sandy. I hate FEMA and i hate the blasted insurance companies.

Paul, in the new images the obverse looks even more questionable than the reverse to me. The transition in colors on the majority of the obverse is not subtle enough to look natural.

Edited to add: This is yet another good example of how images can be misleading, even when the person doing the imaging is trying to portray the coin accurately. Having been doing my own imaging for only a short time, I can certainly empathize.

I do believe AT from the more recent pics.
Great coins are not cheap, and cheap coins are not great!
  • Pretty coin, but me thinks AT.
