I think doop(s) wrote the auction for him
This auction is for a 1927 Set of Toned Coins. Each coin is dated 1927, each one is toned, they are all US coins and they are together in this set; other than that they have nothing in common. The Long Beach coin show or bourse as some dealers call it concluded yesterday. We have been planning to offer set of quality coins with Morgan and Peace Dollars in graded or BU state; however, that is nothing new. In fact we are currently listing the 1903 set and from the looks of it we may not break even. The current bid after five days is less than the amount we paid for one coin in that particular auction. Perhaps its credibility a credibility issue or it may be that we are not really offering our bidders anything new. If it is the later we will attempt to remedy that by offering a set that is truly unique. Although, a toned set is extremely difficult to put together we chose to undertake it. We spent almost three days and came up with enough to complete three sets. The demand for nicely toned coins is such that a toned coined graded AU cost about as much as white one graded MS63. We earnestly endeavored to match the colors of the coins in a set and we hope that you will find that they complement each other. The coins on this auction are as follows:

Hey - here's an idea.
Lets take some circulated coins, tone them up real ugly, crack open a proof set from the 70's and stick them in there and see if somebody is dumb enough to buy them on eBay.

And somebody was dumb enough to part with his money for those. This was a pitiful auction and an embarrasment to the coin collecting community
