My apologies to you slab dislikers. Got grades today.

These were submitted to NGC at the ANA in Pittsburgh and came back today.

Canada 1911C Soverign MS62 Thought it was a no question MS63
Canada 1916 Large Cent MS65 BN A heck of a lot of red on the reverse
Canada 1919 Large Cent MS65 BN correctly designated
Canada 1858 20c EF40
Canada 1919 5c silver MS62 bought at a local show as AU. I knew it was Unc.
Gr. Brit 1872 shilling MS64 has rim toning, bought at the ANA from NEN
France 1855A 10c body bagged for Art. Color. WTF? They are crazy, a totally orignal coin.

and now a couple of coins for you bulk lot junkies.

Italy 1928 1L MS65 picked out of a bulk bin for 4c
India 1808 10c Madras Presidency MS62 BN also picked out of a bulk bin for 4c

I also had one other coin that I can't mention at this time because I may get lynched by some of the members here.

edited to change to India.

congrats... did someone get that rare MS66 Crown from England featuring the portrait of a famous Prime Minister?? image

In all seriousness, you did quite well and I wouldn't mind seeing the 1928 Lira and the 1872 Shilling. I think your examples speak volumes as to the fun one can have at a major show by just looking... further the Lira illustrates this does not have to be an expensive hobby... a coin that cost all of four cents found its way into a slab and grades MS 65. What a terrific story!

    I wish. I'm still looking for a slabbed MS66 or AG3 example.

'kat, I'm having problems with the scanner right now. Maybe tomorrow.

I hope NGC didn't put "Italy" on the label. image

It begins with an "I", but... wrong country! image

I would love to have your source. Just the "sloppy seconds" I have gotten in bulk lots from you have been pretty sweet- probably second only to one other source I had in the past.

Where is all this stuff coming from?

I mean, I have a general idea of where you've been getting it, but where does your source get it from? image

I remember a Monty Python skit where a guy was allowed to select his own manner of death. It showed him being chased by about 20 topless hotties! So yes, there is a pretty way to be killed!
