This raises the question of proof moderns going to PCGS though - it seems to me as though everything from a US mint proof set in the last few years will grade PR69DCAM and you very rarely if ever see PR68DCAM moderns on ebay, but the darkside things (like your san marino set or proof British sovereigns) get PR68 as oftern as they get PR69.

But it seems that PCGS is really tough on the darkside coins.
Well Not bad after all. I still have all the boxes and COA, I can alwyas take them out and replace them in their boxes.
They might need more experience?

I'm not sure whether it's that or the experience base they have to draw on. Last time I checked, I don't recall their advertising a single grader as a world coin specialist.
