Colorful Trime

Nice. Deserves to be in better plastic, though.

I need to crack-n-cross the one PCI gold-label slab I have. It's a 1907 Repunched Date $2.50 Lib, PCI AU58. I actually agree with their grade (in fact, I don't see any wear on it to the naked eye), but I don't see the repunching (again, that's only with the naked eye, though).

Love them PCI greens sometimes, but the PCI golds have an unfortunate odor about them.

That's a pretty trime. No doubt in my mind that it's a proof like they say. It's kind of dark, but I like the colors and I like the way the star is highlighted against the darker fields. Of course, if one looks at the bottom picture of the slab, it really looks dark. Probably a tough coin to look at unless you have some good light.
