ACC MS67 = PCGS MS67

Maybe not in all instances. This was the first ACC certified coin that I have ever seen. I purchased it for the toning and cracked it out and sent it to PCGS and it came back the same grade.

  • Nice crack out. I have an ACC 1950 Proof dime that I will be submitting soon. I know it won't cross, ACC said it was PF 70 and PCGS hasn't certified anything over 67 yet, but I'll be happy just to have it in a PCGS slab, no matter what the grade.

I don't know if they do or not. I purchased it from this seller who seems to sell a lot of them:

I'm thinking that the seller might be "ACC". I'm certainly not suggesting that everyone run out and buy from this guy, I'm just showing the nickel that I had that crossed over the same grade.
  • Same seller I got my dime from.

I've been wondering how accurately "hucky" grades his own stuff..... I keep looking for cameo franklins in his listings, but so far have not found anything with enough cameo contrast.......

I've had OK experiences with this seller, but I've only bought 3 raw, circulated hoins from him. Yes "ACC" is his house brand slab.

Maybe it is the picture but that coin looks hideous. It looks lack-luster and the toning specs don't help. I'm surprised PCGS went 67 on this.....do you have a picture of this in the PCGS slab?

Thanks, I like it too. You know, I have never really thought about all of the different colors that Jefferson tone. I know for a fact that I have seen Jeffersons in many different colors and if I sit here and think of other series of coins, I don't think that I have seen any that compare to the different colors that you can find Jeffersons in. I'm not saying that this is fact, it's just been my experience ...... and I don't get out much so that's not saying much image

You're forgetting that all the major grading services totally ignore luster. I wonder how many excellent examples we need before this is widely accepted?
