Newbie question about ebay item 3931520115

When I started looking at this site, I was glad that ebay sales were often mentioned, because I often have questions. In this case, the seller offers this and other items which seem very high end, but starts at a penny, has no returns, and says a lot. Any thoughts? Is the seller in here?

My daughter was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 2 (2003). My son was diagnosed with Type 1 when he was 17 on December 31, 2009. We were stunned that another child of ours had been diagnosed. Please, if you don't have a favorite charity, consider giving to the JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation)

Reputable 3rd party guarantee companies like PCGS, NGC and ANACS are experts that can usually spot fake coins. As previously said in this thread.......Don't buy raw gold on ebay......Don't buy raw gold on ebay.......Don't buy raw gold on ebay
investment-grade material you need to hold the coin in your hand and deal face-to-face.
Welcome SaminGA,
be prepared for travelling hassels, time and expense which would be part of the price in finding your investment-grade material.
Instead I think the following combination of circumstances can be achieved on line that would make things much easier and cheaper to allow one to acquire investment grade material:---- known reputable sellers-----3rd party guarantee value graded coins----return allowance on coin once receive if not satisfied----high definition close up photography of coin with sale
To me that coin looks like a cast replica from China, that may or may not be gold plated, likely brass not gold.
The rim looks like it still has the mould flashing on it. Or someone hammered or ground it down to put into
a pendant ring.
Plus no one would take a real gold coin and put it up on Ebay at way below bullion weight costs.
Even a holed ex-jewelry piece is till worth it's weight in gold.

It is best if you can take your time to examine a coin in a relaxed setting with good light. I've purchased coins at shows that didn't look as good when I got them home. You can find good coins on eBay, but you need to look for good sellers who offer good photos and a return policy. No matter how good the photo you might want to return the coin after seeing it in hand so a return policy is a must.
And try to ignore folks who imply that a certain coin is valuable because a different date and condition coin sold for millions. "Hey this circulated 1904 Liberty nickel should be worth thousands because a 1913 Lib Nic just sold for 5 million!!!!!!"
Raw gold on eBay is bad enough, but raw gold with no returns is worse. And that seller is a particularly notorious one.
