I bought my 16-D in 1991. I had previously purchased one from a local coin dealer and something just didn't look right so I sent it to ANACS for authentication and it came back counterfeit Fellow collectors told me later that this dealer had been trying to unload this fake for awhile and was fully aware of the fact it was not genuine.

So when I bought the second one I had the (other) dealer send it off for authentication before I took possession and it came back genuine. I bought it as a strong XF but in my view it's got a chance at 50.

Someday when I get 'round to it I'll pull the keys from my album and send 'em off to PCGS. I look forward to your scans. Mine is deep in a bank vault and it may be awhile before I can get it out to scan it.
