That was one that came out of my dad's collection, a ANCS 64 DMPL. It went to a good home with another board member. It was a sharp coin, and I would have kept it for myself except for the fact that I am swimming in CCs right now.
Thanks. It is the pride and joy of my collection, and my most valuable coin. It's a 1799 $10, NGC MS61. I added the disclaimer because last time I posted it, I had twenty plus inquiries asking if it was for sale. It is part of my early Bust type gold set.
<< <i>Hey ms70, I love that icon coin of yours. One of the few I imaged using artificial light. >>
Thanks! I'm in the painstaking process of imaging all of my coins & I re-shot that one. I had a really difficult time getting the same effect you did but it came out pretty good! I figure I'll be about 100 by the time I get them all done the way I want them!

Looking for PCGS AU58 Washington's, 32-63.
My 1892 bodybagged baby. It's actually shiny and not dull dipped gray like the scan shows.
Agreed. If I remember correctly, mgoodm3 is using a Nikon D70 with a 105mm macro lens.
Speaking of Nikon's, check out this monster digital SLR just announced by Nikon: Nikon D2X
<< <i>mgoodm3, what camera and setup are you using? Those are really excellent images of a RB Lincoln.

You are correct, sir. SLR's make it all so easy.
I need to re-image this PCGS MS66 Kennedy as it looks much better in person:
Cheapo scanner I've been using for too long:
Not-so-cheapo camera I haven't been using long enough:
Here's a 00-s Barber I've had for a few years ... newly photograhed ... from a new camera, and at a great dinner party this week

<< <i>oldcameoproofsguy, cool die crack on that 13 Buff and a very good image as well. >>
Thanks WWW!
Someday I'll photoshop that ugly medium grey backgound to a nice white or black. I've just been too lazy.
That is an exceptionally clear image of that seated half.
What camera setup are you using?
Thanks, I use a Nikon CoolPix 5000 and natural light imaged late in the day to reduce glare off the slab.
