questionable email

I received the following email today:

"hello ,
i'm an international customer from LAGOS NIGERIA , i will like to order 14k or 18k gold coins from you .
my payment terms will be made with credit card i.e VISA CARD . let me know immediately if you can take my order .
thanks."

I might be more convinced if the mail asked about a specific coin. In any case I set the payment terms and would want a check to clear before I sent any coins to Nigeria.

I suspect I am not the only one who gets email like this. This is a little better than the ones that want to use my bank account as a place to stash the 5 Million Bucks they ripped off from their country because this one specifically asks about coins.

I've received emails like this, and they are scams. I wouldn't even waste my time replying to it.

I wouldn't reply to it. That would probably get me on a list of people who respond to scams!

Scam scam scam. A friend of mine replies to them and insults them in every way possible.

Replying to emails like that is a good way to get more of them. Best thing to do is delete them and move on with life.

K6AZ: Thanks for the link to the horse breeder who plays with the scammers! I wish I had the time to mess around like that. I enjoyed reading some of the interactions.
