The 1934-1945 late date mercury dime set

OK you all look it is not going to last too long so I printed it out just see what it looks like to be number 1 in something.

I keep falling in the full set and expect to do some falling here but for the time being it feels goodimage

This set should stay in the top twenty for some time even without any upgrades

come one, come all, join in the fun register your set

    Congratulations Pat,

You can always say you were the first #1! You have a nice set. I'm hoping to get my stuff together and get back in the hunt in the next year.

    Pat,

Well Done! I know what you mean about being there for a moment. I was first in the NB Merc set for a very brief time. It is good to see that the short set is up and I think this will get the Mercateers more active again!

I still am happy with my set even though it's not #1 anymore. this is a tough little set to put together.

Thanks, Marc, I seem to miss the 15th more than I remember. I must be getting old. That Icon is a 1929-S.

BTW we both know if you listed your set, you would push me off the top five! So go ahead, knock me down a knotch!

I was thinking I'd leave this set to those that didn't collect the early dates, but if everyone else is going to jump in, I may add mine, too. I won't ever be in the top 5, (or 10, for that matter), because my ultimate goal is to have MS66FB's for the short set, with just a few 67's thrown in for good measure.

I'll be moving to Florida in about 3 weeks, and am asking myself "Am I crazy? Why do I want to go where they have a hurricane every couple of weeks???" image Once I get settled, I'll be getting back to the Mercs and a few other sets, and have time to join the rest of the Mercateers on this forum.

  • I have a bunch of raw gem mercs from the short set on the way that I hope to have slabbed soon, so I should be ready to go in a month or two (I am only a silver member, atm, so I get 30 day turn around time, grumble.)
