Does anyone make a nice Dansco-style Canada Type Set album?

I've done a google search a couple of different ways and, so far, am unable to locate a good quality album for a Canadian Type Set.

If you know of any, and where I could get a new one, please let me know.

Thanks image

Whitman made a British Silver type set I believe. Ask spinaker2000 or Aethelred to be sure.

  • I'm pretty sure that there is a Canadian Whitman. I remember seeing them in old coin shops, but not recently. Hopefully someone else has more details which will help.
  • I have a Dansco Canadian Type Elizabeth II Supreme Album. It is 7211 Canada Type. It has 3 pages; 1st page starts with cents 1953-67, then 5 cents, 10 cents, 25 cents. The 2nd page starts with 50 cents and silver dollars to 1968. Then the last page continues with silver dollars 1970 Manitoba to 1976 Parliament with 2 blank slots to fill up the page.

  • Just looked at the inside of the back cover of the Dansco Supreme Canadian Type QEII and they also have listed No. 7207 Canadian Dollars from 1935 and No. 7210 Canada Type Major Coins from 1858. They list several other countries, but no Great Britain. I think these are probably obsolete albums...

    Edited to add:
www.jakesmp.com used to sell obsolete Dansco foreign albums. I don't see them listed on their website now, but you could email/ph them.
  • There are two companies I know of that sell albums for Canadian coins. The first is
here,Colonial Acres, who sell Unimaster albums. The second
is a place called Collectors Corner and they sell Gardmaster albums for Canadian coins.

I've used both types, and prefer the Gardmaster, which are very similar to Dansco. Hope this helps. image

Chief Coin & Supply in Oshkosh , WI has ALWAYS been a great source for Whitman & Dansco folders, albums, etc, including British & Canadian Type sets - - in New & Used! Give them a try as well!

    Examples:

    Whitman Bookshelf Albums:

    Canadian:

Type Small Coins #9522 3 pages $9 new
Type Large Coins #9521 3 pages $9 new
    Type Complete #9513 4 pages $11 new
    Mint Set #9515 4 pages $8
    Newfoundland Type #9514 2 pages $9 new

    Great Britain:

    Victoria Type 1837-1901 #9520 4 pages $20 new
    Minor Type 1902-? #9516 4 pages $15 used $20 new
    Silver Type 1902-? #9517 4 pages $15 used $20 new

I don't usually go after albums, but have recommended Randy Miller & his Chief Coin & Supply to several others around the world to their satisfaction (incl Syracusian)!

    Oshkosh, WI 54903-0254

    Phone #920-231-6161

Be patient.... he & his wife run it, and sometimes he's on the road at shows. But always helpful!

Same here. But I believe he's more along the line of a "mom-and-pop" - - although I may be wrong. But he has always come through with supplies, and has a nice inventory. Just call or fax & he'll provide a 4-sided list of US, Canada, Australia, Mexico, GBr., etc.image
