Let me get this right about who can crossover...

Silver level can not, but the others can? Wouldn't PCGS be better off to get as many crossovers as possible? What am I not understanding here?

All levels, including silver, can submit crossovers.

  • No, silver members can do crossovers. Look on the downloadable submission form for silver members and you can check the box for crossovers. It depends on the holder whether or not I do a crossover, though. If it's in a NGC or ANACS, I'd send it in the slab for a cross so at least it's still in a semi respectable holder if it doesn't cross. Everything else gets cracked out for a raw submission. I'd rather have a coin downgrade into a PCGS slab, than leave it in some fly by nighters holder with a higher grade.

Thanks for the clarification, I guess I was not reading the intro on the Services page correctly.
