eBay dumb question

Anyone here buy coins on eBay and sell them shortly afterward or is it just me?

Depends on your definition of shortly.

If I purchase something off of eBay with the intent to resell, I usually wait at least ninety days so that my purchase price is not available through an eBay search.

I know some of the folks who deal in moderns like to cherrypick proof sets, mint sets and raw coins for ultra-gems at low prices, submit them for grading and turn them over for obscene profits.

I've done it with a few cherrypicked varieties. Asw already stated, best to wair 90 days, so others can't see what you paid for the coin.

The only things I go after on ebay with intent to resell, have to be graded before I can try to resell them. They usually start out raw or in third world holders. I wish PCGS didn't have a 5 coin minimum on clads, though. I have 2 nice ones that I want to try to cross over, but now I have to wait until I find some more to do it.
