1901-P MS65

Wish I had a pic to post, but saw the most gorgeous 1901-P (Yes Philly) in MS65 today at the ILNA show.

A stone cold white coin with minimal bagmarks and well struck to boot. The coin also had very good luster, which is rare for this coin.

It was in a darkside (NGC) holder, but the coin was all there.

Just a tad over 5 figiures.

I also assumed he meant a Morgan Dollar. I first thought of Barber coins until I read the price.

I think there are some gold coins of that date that can reach that price level in 65, and since the OP is using a gold coin for an icon, I thought I would ask.

    I guess a 1901 in 65 could go for $100K plus

An NGC holder a 1901 Morgan MS65 would go for well into six figures.
    When in doubt, don't.
