Which set of pics looks best?

I'm trying some different lighting to take pics with. The first set is with two soft white 60 watt lights about two feet away from the coin.
This second set is taken with a single halogen bulb about ten inches directly above the coin.
It seems that the two lights give the pics a softer more lusterous and the halagen light really shows the details better. What do you think, oh and while your looking what grade do you think this 1879-O merits.
