1990 Sophomore Star series with Griffey?

I have two of these six card sets but can't find them on ebay (current or completed) so I know they are either (1) rare, or (2) worthless. I suspect that I know the answer but wanted to check here first.

The set was distributed at the 1990 National in xchange for a 2$ donation to the Arthritis foundation. There is a reported 10,000 sets. It books for 9 bucks.
