Pray for Ivan victims...

I am in Missouri and am completely unaffected by Ivan and will remain so...but my heart goes out to those who will lose pets, family members, and of lesser importance, property in the storm today, tonight, and tomorrow. As I type this I am hearing of two deaths already in the Panama City area.

For anyone in the path of this deadly beast, I pray for you. I will not sleep easily tonight because I am thinking of all of you. I hope for all that the least amount of ill effect possible comes your way and everyone survives this trial.

For those not in the path of the storm - join me in concern - then in giving - to those who come out with less then they went in with. Since I am not good at organizing things such as collections, perhaps someone else might want to start something to this effect if it's allowed here. I dunno, that's just a thought. I feel helpless, and anything I can do at this point would be at least of some help.

There are a lot of people in danger this evening. I, for one, cannot rest with that.

That was a Tornado in Panama City that caused those two deaths. The feeder bands that are coming off of Ivan have caused several tornado warnings in the Panama City area, and in Parts of SW Ga. Those same bands are now crossing Jackson, & Holmes Co FL and are slowly making their way up into Houston Co, AL where My family and I are at. We don't really expect the worst part of the storm that is currently in the Mobile, AL & Pensacola, FL Area. However, these feeder bands coming into our area are full of bad thunderstorms and may continue to spawn tornados. We are hunkered down here, but keep praying for us, and the folks to the west of us. We may need it.

I will report in in the morning if not before. My wife and I are planning on staying up most of the night.
