Ebay error

I was looking at some listings, and found this one which says 1932 MS 60 ACG. Then I see that the image is 1931 AU 55 ACG. link

I would think that this is an error, but then I noticed that this seller keeps claiming that he is selling top pop canadians, when they are not the top graded according to the PCGS site. I have notified him, and he won't change the posts....image

"top pop"

actual pop- 6 finer

  • "ACCUGRADE WAS RATED #1 AS THE MOST CONSISTENT GRADING SERVICE"

I agree! They were consistently the most outlandishly incorrect in grading. Anyone that got stuck with one of their slabs either swallowed their loss or passed it on. Without a closer picture I'd assume that's a VF coin in that slab. This one's being passed on evidently. Every now and then they were close to the correct grade though so if you are a gambler...

  • The seller is "Mr. ACG" himself, Alan Hager (hence "ah-collectibles" on eBay). There's a very good reason he doesn't link to the Coin World article he refers to.image
