Were you ahead of the curve on these fascinating and beautiful items or have they been collected for some time with established values?

It just struck me about 3 years ago that this was a small and quality field that I though had historical and collector interest. I am also a ex-submariner and these were the opponents.image
  • I'm very imressed, Dan!! Really great and very interesting collection! My grandfather was a Navy Officer in Russia and I have one of his silver insignias and also small collection of shipbadges and afew dive badges from Russia. In my "favorites" for along time was a link to great Russian Website of Russian Naval medals, awards, insignias, badges and etc. For some strange reason it doesn't work right now. But ,anyway, here the link and may it will work again later:

BTW, did you collect also coins with submarines? image In my shipcoins collection I have a few of them: from Russia, from Cuba and may be a few more .

Please continue to share with us these great items! image

Great sites, but I have to keep my Russian typewriter available to translate. I have a couple of Challange Coins with Subs on them, but they are only related to my service.

You should post pictures of your Grandfathers medals, I would like to see themimage
  • Well all this talk about Russian Medals is kinda weird, as I was browsing Yahoo I saw this.
