1891 proof collection assembled by ANR

What does everyone think about this set. I really like that Morgan.

I guess I'm fishing for thoughts on overall value. I've been thinking about doing something like this for a while.

That morgan is wild!! Are you thinking of doing an 1891 year set, or just any year set??

I'd love to put a proof set like this together. The year is not too important. Of course, a year where I could slip a proof Trade Dollar in there would be cool.

1880 might be a good year, one could slip in the Trade Dollar, the 3CS and the 3CN. Of course you would have to sub a Shield Nickel for the Liberty Head.
  • 1891 Morgan dollar. Proof-68 (NGC) Simply put, gorgeous! Spectacular bull's eye toning on the obverse encircles a frosty white center. Uniform splashes of plum, midnight blue, sea foam green, lilac, and yellow-orange throughout dominate the reverse. One of only two Proofs of the date assigned lofty Proof-68 status by NGC, with none graded higher. This is what gem Proof quality is all about!

Gotta love the marketing departments description of this! Can't just say it has purple, blue, green, pink and orange coloring. No it is "frosty white center. Uniform splashes of plum, midnight blue, sea foam green, lilac, and yellow-orange throughout. " Sweet!!

Beautiful coin and if I had $49k just sitting around I'd buy it! image
