Have fun
The ANS coin exhibit is at the NY Fed. Definitely worth the trip. No appointment necessary there, unless you want to visit the gold vault.
The ANS Library is close by and also worth a visit. You should call them for an appointment.
The Museum of American Financial History is also in the area, as is the NY Stock Exchange.
But most importantly, stop by Smythe and buy some coins!
BTW, all of the above are closed on weekends.

Andy - where exactly is Smythe and are there any weekend hours?
Eureka-- do you know where I can find anymore information on the Fed tour? I am in the City all the time, so hopefully I can get away from work some afternoon and take the tour.

Smythe is at 2 Rector St on the 12th Floor. No weekend hours, unfortunately.
do you know where I can find anymore information on the Fed tour?
No. Sorry.
Anybody know how close these places are to the Hilton? Are they within walking distance?
Not walkable, but it's an easy subway ride. You don't want to take a cab. Too much traffic.

<< <i>Stacks is also in the City, and I think they have a retail establishment.

Stacks is on West 57th Street between 6th and 7th Avenues. Very nice little shop with friendly personnel.
