I think this seller has made a grave error. According to Krause, only the copper/nickel proof version (km4) of this coin is the rareity with the mintage of "10". The silver version (km4a), which this one is clearly marked on the slab, has a modest mintage of 2000, valued at $10. The rarer c/n proof version is listed at $400. Either this seller has made an honest mistake, or ......... I think i'll drop him an email.
Looking at this sellers auctions I see mostly PCI, Trugrade, NTC, and SEGS graded coins. This tells me something right there. So I clicked on a few and they have nice close up photos. But the close ups also show why they are not in a PCGS or NGC slab. Way overpriced.
I think the seller has made an honest mistake. He has ended the auction, and from his email, I gather that he was mislead when he purchased this coin. I wonder how much he lost on this one.
