Another potential Morgan upgrade maybe ?

Here is another coin I dug out thinking maybe it has potential to earn a extra point. It is currently graded PCGS 64. Looking for a few opinions to see if I would be wasting my money or not?

It's hard to see the entire coin due to the shadow. I would say no upgrade, looks like a few too many little hits in the focal areas on the obverse.jmo

I would have to say "no" as I also believe there is to much chatter on the cheek and the fields
in front of the cheek. The reverse looks like a solid 65 but the grease spot is a distraction for me.
Overall looks like a very nice 64 based on those photos. Nice coin !!

I'd say go for the upgrade. I think the pictures make the hits look way worse than they probably are in hand. The only thing i would be worried about would be the hits in the right reverse feild, and if the shadow in the picture is hiding anything.

IMO the reed marks on the cheek keep it in a 64 holder. A real nice 64 but still a 64.

Yup, I'll go along with the consensus, I can't see it in a PCGS 65 holder. Very solid as a 64 though

Looks good as a 64. Maybe to many scratches on the cheek and nose for a 65. IMO

Maybe the reverse. The cheeck/jawbone area looks like it'll keep it in a 64. How are the fields in front of the nose?

I would not send it in you would be wasting the money, it's a nice PQ 64 and always will be. Use the grading fee to buy a new coin instead.

I agree with some of the others about the hits in the face area- I think it would stay in a 64 holder..........

First of all, great looking coin and take a moment to reflect that plastic is plastic, and in some instances temporary plastic, while the coin is what is important. The 1900-s is tougher than most collectors think in GEM CONDITION. It may be worth a try because of the spread, however, do not be disappointed if it comes back 64 again. I think it misses 65, but I admit that stranger thinks have happened.

Here's the way I figure it. Just using greysheet

64 = 400
65 = 1300

increase on upgrade (potential win) 900
cost to resubmit (maximum loss) 30

900/30 = 30

so if you upgrade you get 30X your grade fee, Do you think you have a 1 in 30 chance on an upgrade. If so submit it, if you think your chances are less, then don't.
