Is it really important whether it is AT or not? What IS important is whether you like it.
D/D? What that picture there isn't really a way to tell. The coin is a bit weak in strike for a 38-D though.

Trying to get a good close-up on the mint mark is difficult without blurring it out.
but yes I like the coin.

Does your dig cam have a Macro mode?...assume you have a dig cam? If not, is there some sort of lense that might help.
Otherwise, look up some info on the web about the D/D (maybe find an example picture somewhere) and you can just compare that to your coin...

I have a macro on my camera but getting the right angle to see the overstrike is difficult at best. The MM on these coins is very small. I'll see what I can do

Try shooting a picture through a 10x or 17x loupe. I've gotten good sharp closeup pix that way.
