My only coin purchase at Long Beach

Yes I know it is AT. Didn't know it at the time though image

It is a D/D though!

Is it really important whether it is AT or not? What IS important is whether you like it.

D/D? What that picture there isn't really a way to tell. The coin is a bit weak in strike for a 38-D though.

  • Trying to get a good close-up on the mint mark is difficult without blurring it out.

but yes I like the coin.

Does your dig cam have a Macro mode?...assume you have a dig cam? If not, is there some sort of lense that might help.

Otherwise, look up some info on the web about the D/D (maybe find an example picture somewhere) and you can just compare that to your coin...

  • I have a macro on my camera but getting the right angle to see the overstrike is difficult at best. The MM on these coins is very small. I'll see what I can do

    Edited to add pic.

  • Try shooting a picture through a 10x or 17x loupe. I've gotten good sharp closeup pix that way.
