I'm ATing 2 ASEs -- Poll: Should I post details of the "experiment?"

I'm trying to reproduce a toning experiment conducted by White in his book "Coin Chemistry" except with normal household products.

I've document and taken pics of the process so far, should I start a thread highlighting it or would that cause problems and give a recipe to others to try to AT coins?

Poll will decide.

Thanks
Michael

Anyone desperate enough for the recipe can buy the book. The information is freely accessable, and I for one would like to see what kind of results you've gotten (without having to do the experiment myself, and yes I do have the book.)

Hell. all you have to do to ASE's to toned them is to wrap them in Kleenex and place them between the pages of a book for a couple of years, you will be surprised at the results.

This is accelerated toning in which occurs in hours.

My daughter was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 2 (2003). My son was diagnosed with Type 1 when he was 17 on December 31, 2009. We were stunned that another child of ours had been diagnosed. Please, if you don't have a favorite charity, consider giving to the JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation)

It is ALWAYS educational to find out what an AT coin might look like.

  • Yes, post the pictures. Someone ATd a ASE for me and the sheild on the reverse is gold! I like ATd coins as long as someone isn't trying to pass them off as natural.
