1976-D Clad IKE MS67

Can any body give me a $ figure on what the title coin would be worth in a pcgs holder? Last one i could find on teletrade was $3,100 without the juice and no Heritage figures for that coin.

$1800 (low end 67) to $3500 (nice high end 67) depending on how nice the coin is. Of course, if James wants to sell his, I will pay $4000, at least ;-)

Thanks JC, is that the one on teletrade? That looks like a high end one from the picture.

No, that one (in Teletrade auction 1514) is not a high end one. The one in James' set (click 76-D type II picture) is a high end PKOK.

JC, that looks like 6 with toning to me.

Talk to James. I bet he will disagree. I saw the coin in person. It is a mind-blower coin. I rank it top three of the entire PKOK hoard (color-wise).

I would rather have that one than the three 76-D type II PCGS MS67 that I have.

I was just teasing. James cool coin! Can someone tell me how these PKOK coins came about? How do you know they are not AT? i think I could gain that effect if I tried.

    JC:

Your 74-D PKOK in PCGS MS67 might be the finest PKOK in existence. IMO it is superior to the 76D T2 PKOK in 67 listed in Jim's set.

JC, how about a picture of that one?

Well JC and I have seen both the 74-D and the 76-D PKOK's in person. Both have pros and cons. Reality is that both are superior PKOK's with great luster underneath.

74-D is a little dark, the 76-D has a few more marks with better luster.

They both are worth multiples of white MS67 prices.

I'll buy JC any time he's willing to sell, and he'll buy mine. Seeing that, neither coin will be on the market for some time to come.
