A call for help ...

On October 9, 2004, my fiance and I will be participating in the “Walk to cure Diabetes” sponsored by the JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation). This years walk is going to be held at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. I am asking many people, including the CU board members, for any help they can offer in the form of donations. No amount is too small.

There have been many advancements in the fight against Diabetes. The one that continues to elude us is an outright cure. With over 14,000 registered CU users I know we can make a difference.

If you feel inclined to make a donation (BTW they are tax deductible), send a personal check made out to JDRF (or Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation if you want to write it all out) to:

Since the day I was born. And the answer to your next question is "yes". A distant relationship and I haven't had the opportunity to meet him as of yet (although his father was at a family reunion we had several years ago).

Great organization. Rush Limbaugh personally donates quite a chunk of change to them each year and spearheads his listeners to give quite a bit of money during their big fundraising day as well.

Oh! Absolutely!! But, I've been rootin' for them since they had names like Munson, Jackson, Chambliss, Randolph, Nettles, Dent, et. al. in the lineup. Unfortunately, I don't think they have enough pitching to go the distance this season. You can bet George will be diggin' in the pockets to add to the rotation this off-season.
