2001-D Roosevelt Dime Multiple Strikes Obverse

Hello,

Does anyone know where i can find info about the value of a 2001-D Roosevelt Dime, that has 4 maybe more images on the Obverse and is slightly doubled on the reverse?

Thanks, Brad....

    Brad,

Welcome to the message boards. Do you have an image that we may examine? From your description, it may be worth around $100.00-if it is truly struck four times. If it is only a double struck, you are looking at maybe $20.00.

New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.

I see a vague suggestion of a second forehead running through the normal forehead, but this might be wishful thinking. It doesn't really look like a multiple strike. I see no disturbance of the "final strike". The obverse is discolored. Perhaps your additional images are simply stains?

There are such things as "one-sided" or "obverse only" multi-strikes. However they are extremely rare and, as one might expect, quite valuable.
