1965 SMS PCGS Lincoln in 66CAM (POP 3/0) on Teletrade this coming Monday

Just wanted to give everyone a heads up on this. The coin is Lot #1101 in Auction #1935. I thought the coin had a shot at DCAM, seriously. Great deep red color. Only 21 graded in CAM and 2 in DCAM for this year.

I already had it bookmarked. Knowing how stupidly tight PCGS is on SMS coins right now, I'd have to guess that the coin is a winner.

  • What do you expect this coin do sell for?

I recently made 2 1965 MS65CAM's. I have no idea what they are worth. Any idea?

Since there's no sales history available for VamCollector's coin that's a tough one. But, I'll toss out a WAG that it'll bring at least $2000 and maybe as high as $2500 or more.

Yours would normally be in the $450 plus range, but if you just upped the pop by two that might put downward pressure on the value.

Convenience link for those interested in VamCollector's coin.

  • I've currently got three 1965 SMS MR64RD CAM sitting in stock. They are so hard to find it's hard to believe I have some many on hand right now

I also just sold a 1967 SMS MSRD CAM pop top in Pittsburgh at the Heritage Auction. It brought $1750 but is a little higher in pop than the 1965.
  • Since the cat's out of the bag now image on this one and the competition for it will certainly be fierce, you might as well also know that there is only 1 coin for the date that has a higher registry set value - and that's the top pop pop 1 MS69RD. The coin in question is tied with the 2 MS68RD's & the 2 65DCAM's in registry value - and probably valued somewhere in between as the DCAM's are solid 5k coins ant the 68RD's are - just guessing - probably about 1-1.5k coins.
  • $2,035 w/the juice. Watch for someone's registry set to get a image

I must admit,I too watched that auction.I knew I couldn't bid(lack of funds),but wasn't at all surprised at the realized price.Had I had the funds,I'd have bid that much also.
