Antique store find

My friend collects antique furniture. I have gotten him into looking for coins and he has a Redbook. He was at an antique store in NJ last month and bought a small pouch of foreign coins for $2.50. Inside was an AU Isabella Quarter, which I sold for $400. He was hooked!! He said he had been going to this antique shop for years and it was hard to tell how much money he had passed up by not buying the foreign coins. He said when he went back he was going to buy all the coins the guy had. This week he bought all the foreign coins for $300 and these are some of the American coins he has found so far.
What do you think? Did he get his $300 worth?

New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.

My best find was in some coins that I inherited from Dad. There was a 1909-S VDB and (2) 1914-D cents in g to vf shape. They all turned out to be counterfeits upon inspection. Dad's brother was also a coin collector... ...and a jeweler. I coulda added some more change to them and bought a lottery ticket that day. But I hang on to them as keepsakes.
Are you going to hang on to them Fugios as keepsakes? I'll trade ya a few good coins of mine for just one of yours.

Why step over the dollar to get to the cent? Because it's a 55DDO.

My daughter was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 2 (2003). My son was diagnosed with Type 1 when he was 17 on December 31, 2009. We were stunned that another child of ours had been diagnosed. Please, if you don't have a favorite charity, consider giving to the JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation)

You're not, but I didn't want to be the first one to say anything.
Do we have some early copper experts that can confirm the authenticity of these pieces?
