New to the hobby, Can you help? Help with Judgments

My father left me his coin collection and I have since been buying and selling coins every week. I have 8 coins that I want to have graded by PCGS and have the voucher forms but lack the knowledge on the best way to send them to the grading center. Do I send them overnight or certified? Whats the best way?
I appreciate your responses. I will be building a database with coin elite over the winter. I look forward to this forum!!

    2. Your URL to the web site doesn't work.

    3. Registered mail seems like the most cost effective way to send coins, but there is a value limit (not sure what it is - $25,000 ?).

Send them Registered Mail, insured for their full value.

On your question about shipping to PCGS, I just went through my first ever shipment to them.
My advice....CALL CUSTOMER SERVICE and ask.
They helped me through in about 10 minutes...including reminding me to write the type of service on the outside of the package to expedite things a few days on their end.

Also, how you ship is up to you and dependent on trust of the Post Office, your packaging, and the value of the coins. Most say ship it registered. I didn't. After talking to PCGS customer service, and figuring the value of the 4 coins I sent to be ~$500, I just sent it insured with tracking. Got there just fine. Didn't have to totally mummy-wrap the package with the paper tape either.

So, just call them....number should be on the main page of the website I think. Yep, it is, here it is:

"You can reach the PCGS customer service department Monday - Friday 7:00am - 5:00pm Pacific Time.
In the United States call toll free at 800-447-8848. Outside the United States call 949-833-0600."

Welcome aboard and enjoy the ride image

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

Safest way, and the way PCGS wants you to send them is via Registered Mail. I have sent by other means in the past if the coins were super valuable, but if I have the time to go through the 'tape up the package' routine, I try to send them Registered Mail.

Yes, make sure you don't underestimate their value, either. I almost got burned on this (or, rather, burned myself)!
