I almost got double face value for this proof set. Actually I'm glad he beat the other guy out by a nickel

I recently sold a 67 SMS set for $10 (Bid of $16.50) with $4 shipping. I told buyer I'd buy the set back and give them $4 not to ship it. They said they wanted it and then said I gipped them on postage (I sent it uninsured as I was losing on the deal anyway and took the chance). I then reminded them of my offer and told them that even with my published outrageous $4 shipping charge the set was still less than bid by a long shot.
I'm done with cheap coins on e-bay. They are not bringing the money.
I guess there are just too many proof sets to go around!

<< <i>Nope. You ran a no reserve, no minimum auction knowing the risks. You can't fault the winning bidder for not bidding high enough. The honorable thing is to follow through, suck up the loss, and move on. Next time, set a minimum or a reserve. >>
Do you think Relayer has even a thought of giving this person a Neg for a puny bid ? Get real. Relayer is just having a little fun.

i don't know relayer so i don't when he's "having a little fun." use {sarcasm] post [/sarcasm] or [joking] post [/joking] if you're gonna be sarcastic or joking around.
It's always amazed me they call it common sense, when surprisingly it’s not so common.

I understand the "humor" involved in this discussion, though see most people have taken it seriously, and given the sensible answers expected.
With Auctions, either the Bidder wins, or the seller wins. It all depends on who gets the most out of the sale.

I'll pay VERY good money if someone can give me an authentic *proof* set bearing my birth year. Even better if they can get me silver coins like all my older siblings got...
