Help with this 1967 50c Kennedy- Where's all the error Guru's?

This looks like it may be a strike from a different coin or just one heck of a cool set of die breaks. Also, take a look to the west of the "A" and "R" there are a second set in the field.

Here are the errors in the "U" and "N" from "United"

Here is the pic of the "A" and "R" from "dollar"

Here is the pic from above the neck and rt wing.....Broken rays

Here is the pic of the "A" and a machine doubling of the star to the west

Here is a pic of the "S" from "states" and the "O" from "Of"

Die cracks, strike-thrus and minor doubling are all pretty common on these.

OTOH, the rays and star alignment on the reverse are intriguing. They're not really "broken", but rather positioned differently than a normal reverse die. At least they appear so from the image.

  • I have seen the stars and rays like that only on a '64 AH variety.......also, I have a couple of Deep Cameo '68 S kennedy's....how the heck do you photo them? I can't get a clean pic of them without picking everything from the lights to my ugly mug in the reflection??
