Long Beach Coin show, transportation question

I am going to fly down to the show tomorrow for the day. Does anyone know of a good service to take you from the airport to the show? Should I just hire a cab or shuttle?

Do most of the dealers take checks or should I make other arrangements?

Cash is always good--travellers checks may be easier if you don't feel comfortable with cash, as they are treated like cash.

I really wouldn't expect a dealer who doesn't know you to take a check. They would probably want to hold the item and ship when it clears. Unless you're talking about 10,000 + , I'd just take cash.
