chrome grading question

i'm planning to send in a few bowman chrome and bowman's best cards. what is the best way to pack these cards? they tend to "stick" to the penny sleeves and the card savers. if damaged in the grading process, will you ever know?

thanks

Thanks,

David (LD_Ferg)

I send mine in new Card Saver I's, which are like CS II's only bigger, so it's easier to get them into, and I've heard that the grading companies just cut them open since it's faster and there's less risk of damage in pulling them out. No sleeve. This sounds counterintuitive, but a clean CS I will hold your card just fine, and it probably won't be in there long enough for the chrome film to build up. One thing the graders won't do is clean your card for you, so wipe them down before packing, and ship right after packing. If you insist on using sleeves, use new ones, and cut a little notch in one corner of the open end with an x-acto knife. This makes it easier to slide the card in without snagging the corners.
