Good luck Keets 3 centers, both silvers and nickels, seem to be a spot where someone could really make a niche for themselves...

i'm rather fascinated by them and since i've looked on/off at coins for the last year or two, i figured i should get a good reference. what i find most interesting is the large amount of gems with heavy clash. i've seen some with almost the entire wreath on the obverse, some with a cameo of Liberty on the reverse and many with combinations of both. two dates, 1865 and 1868 seem to be especially struck, or at the survivors are, from heavily clashed dies.
i thought it was time to do some study/reading.

you're spot on with David!!!! he's the bomb, we met at last years F.U.N. Show and he was kind enough to help me decide against a Proof that DLRC brought to the show for me. if he doesn't see this at the top i'll PM for some suggestions.

New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.

i think there's a forum member who sells the book, too.

You are correct. Al is a friend of Jadecoins' Dennis, and I met Al at his table at the recent MNS show. Al is a very nice guy, astute collector, and is thinking about getting into $3's! I guess he likes the number, "3".
