70 Kelloggs FB Pop Report

I was up checking the pop report on this issue this morning and either things have really changed or something isn't right. My last print out is about 18 months old showing 37 PSA 10's. The standings have not changed much and I have only seen one or two in the last several months but the pop report now shows more than 100 !?!? PSA 10's. Also the numbers of 8's has grown from less than 400 to nearly 2000. Has there really been that much activity on this set recently or is the pop report off?

BTW we saw the same kind of surge in '70 Kellogg's Baseball submissions two years ago so maybe it was the Football set's turn.
I had heard that about the FB/BB thing a few months ago and checked it out and found it true. I assumed (and from my memory) that this is more of a function of fewer BB with prices down so low that a great increase in the amount of FB. Certainly there is a large enough amount of FB that it could increase if the demand were there.
I see that in 71 K FB, Mick is taking a whoopin' big time from the king and another player as well. Lots of 10's seem to have krept up over there. Maybe the King is waiting to surprise us all.
Having counted the number of 10's listed in the registery sets as well as my unlisted one, there are 47 PSA 10's accounted for. That would make 59 unaccounted for which seems to be a lot for a several month period of time that no one noticed. Some would have popped up for trade/sale. In addition, the low pop Alworth which had a pop of 4 is now listed at 18.

I have a few hundred extra PSA graded 1971 Kellogg's cards. E-mail for price list. Looking for 1970 Topps Supers in PSA 9 too.
This is true. There weren't any 10's available for months, but quite a few 9's. In the last 3 weeks about 30 10's appeared, of which I won a few
It seems Joe Tuttle submitted quite a bit and got back some nice grades. This is a great time to be pursuing this set. At 60 cards, the set is very doable in hi grade. With the explosion in pop's, now is the time to pick up 9's. This market is very cyclical. If the major submitters don't get their price, they will stop submitting until demand catches up to the supply. I've raised the bar on this set and am trying to upgrade to 10's. LMk if anyone has any 10's they want to move.
Goodriddance- Those are great prices. You can't go wrong with 35 year old mint cards at or below the grading fee. But this is what I mean. If prices stay soft, dealers will not submit that material until the current supply is absorbed. Once demand/prices increase then submissions will rebound. AKA "The Circle of Life" young Simba.
Thanks!
