Yeah, no chance at anything higher than a "1" on that one because of the major paper loss. But for type collectors, the most important thing about this card....the UZIT back....is sweet. I saw the post you made on the net 54 forum on the same subject....you did well on the lot of rare backs.
You could simply ask for an "AUTH" grade. That would be preferable to a "1". Everybody knows it's in bad shape, so they'd just want to know if it's authentic.
Well Brian, you seem to be pretty well informed about the card and its worth already....why the need for this post AND the one on net 54 in the first place?
one more thing.. both of these boards.. this one and the NET 54 boards will give me different insight on the card.. and both are rather slow on the traffic.. post on both boards, get answeres twice as quick.

Fisher I don't read/post on net54 so I wouldn't have seen his post - I post on another board and will, at times, put the same thing on both - some don't post here. I don't see the harm....do you? your friend Mike
No worries Brian, glad you got the info you needed...
Personally, I'd value the card in the $7-800 range, as back collectors usually don't place much of a premium on the player on the front of the card, HOFer or not. Regardless, you got a great deal, as the UZIT alone was worth the price you payed for the entire lot.
Well, i got the cards yesterday... and i sent the Tinker UZIT to PSA yesterday for the same day grading.. since i live so close to PSA, i just got the email from PSA with the grade..
It was graded a PSA 2. I am totally thrilled right now because i was expecting no more than a PSA 1 because of the paper loss.
