PVC Question

Can Nickel develop PVC? I have an 1883 NC I want to sell on ebay, and it has some crud on the reverse that is greenish in color. Here's the pic. You can see it around the word states.

What you are assuming is nickel is actually an alloy of 75% copper and 25% nickel and yes, nickels can very easily get PVC damage on them.

Any coin can develop PVC. It's not the composition of the alloy that causes it, but rather the storage medium.

Damage will happen much faster with some composition.
I was thinking copper and silver being the worst.

Thanks for the info. I guess I'll sell it as is and point out that it may have PVC damage.
