Recently there have been a rash of ripoff artist on the B/S/T forum...and they have been called out and identified...Well..i believe we should also recognize those dealers and participants that make this forum what it is..great!!!! I prefer to do my buying from forum members...and i have bought from quite a few....NONE better Than TheNumish....Nothing highdollar and earth shattering , but a VERY nice transaction that i can draw confidence from and you should too!!!!! It doesn't get any better than for someone to advertise and live up to their their advertisement and their word....So i am recommending that anytime he has something you want...BUY IT!!!! It doesn't get any better!!!!!!!!!!

By the way, I don't see this as off topic, if you bought a coin and are happy with it, it's on topic!
<< <i>It's nice to hear of pleasant experiences on the BST board. There are a lot of very honest sellers there, but you always have to keep an eye out for the scammers.

<< <i>Jaybird's done a great job of turning his life around since that last conviction.

<< <i>I can also vouch for Jay. I sold him a mess of coins a while back and was very happy with the way I was treated and with his professionalism. I would recommend doing business with him as well. >>
Now get out them and have some more graded Jay. I still need one in 68.

<< <i>Jay's the real deal. A few years ago, he sent me a bunch of coins knowing what I collected, and told me to buy them if I liked them at about 20% of what they were worth to me. Great guy, and I'd recommend him to any buyer. More fair than necessary. >>
That says it all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I bought two coins a couple of months ago from Jay on ebay for my daughter's YOB mint set. The price was dirt cheap for one pop top and the other coin with only one better. I would highly recommend any of his offerings.
Oh yeah, because they're nice coins and the bidders know that. Doh!
<< <i>Hay! How come the coins I try to buy from him on ebay sure aren't dirt cheap?

For the past 10 years I've worked at Dillon Gage metals in Dallas, Texas as their in-house numismatist. The last few years I've just worked there 20 or so hours a week and buy/sell coins on my own the rest of the time. Most of my time I spend grading modern coins but have the skills to buy/sell most anything. On the modern coins if I don't have home for them I'll put them on ebay starting at $1 with no reserve. My ebay handle is TheNumish. Have 3648 postive feedbacks and zero negs. Just a small time guy with no web site or store. Hopefully this will change soon. Starting in December I am starting a mail company with full page ads in Coinage Magazine that will be called Cornerstone Numismatics. If that works I'll expand to other trade papers. Wish me luck!!!!!!
