  • It is very nice, but how much do you trust the PCI holder? I know some bargains can be had in off brand slabs, and this has a good shot at crossing to a CAM, but will the rest of the grade stand? The mirrors look spotted to me, and I don't think it will come back from PCGS or NGC as a 68.

It is a gorgeous coin, too bad its in a PCI holder, but looks cameo and should crossover nicely.

A good example of "Buy the coin and not the holder". That is a beautiful Merc!
  • A very nice Merc! image But I seriously doubt it would grade CAM at PCGS or NGC... not nearly enough frost on the Obverse... lots of black spots...

I don't trust the claim on the slab. It isn't cameo for one. And the photo was enhanced to make it look more cameo. I can't grade proofs so no guesswork there. But I would pass on this one in this holder.
