    Indeed a nice strike, but that sucker must be really dark- the picture was brightened. Look how the slab label was "bleached out".

    In terms of wear it looks better than AU 50. As others have said, it must be very dark...but it is original, which, in my mind, is a big plus.

    Correction, in terms of wear it looks like a perfect AU-50...it does, however, look much better than a normal 1808--and priced accordingly.

    My guess is this coin will look very close to the image Dave has put up. It looks like he uses a scanner. The scan probably showed the coin way too dark and he lightened the image, Hence..... the slab label is lightened.

    BTW, I really like the crusty look of the coin.
