Coin Grading Tour...

Some of you have heard of the World Poker Tour (WPT). Well how about creating something like the Coin Grading Tour (CGT), not a contest but actual coins on display with their respective grades or non grades to be shown at national, regional as well as local shows. Additionally samples of counterfeit coins, AT vs NT coins, altered coins, cleaned coins, etc. will greatly educate both the public and collectors alike.

Sorry, this was meant to be a reply to coinguy1's threadimage

  • Like perhaps, grading sets? Would certainly be interesting to see some of the TPGs bringing grading sets of a series or two to shows to have on display... as well as other educational material...

We could have an "adopt a coin" campaign to place good coins in good homes. Or a foster home setup for coins. We could make it a federal thing: Department of Coin Services. Although no one would want the DCS to stop by and take away your coins to be placed in another home.

I would love to get access to a grading set for $5 and $10 Indians...does one even exist? It would be very cool if I could complete one but it would certainly be satisfactory if there was one that could be looked at too. Hummmmm
