I think Karl Stephens is their "go-to" guy for World coins. And, for difficult pieces they may even go to outside consultants who are expert for a particular country.
Truly, if it's a coin after 1800 they'll simply grade for surfaces and lustre since they probably have limited knowledge about strike characteristics and the like.
They do just fine on Swiss Federal stuff!!!
Probably because Hall collected the stuff years ago and they also may still have their grading set. In fact, they may have grading sets for the more popular countries, too.
