1966 SMS 50c "No FG"

What should one expect to pay for one of these in say a ms-65 condition.? I haven't seen any. I also heard there is one from 1990. Anyone else hear this?

1982 is also one without FG, I believe.

Here's a link to a 66 No FG in MS-66. I figure a 65 at $150. There are quite a few No FG coins referenced in various works. Below is a partial list. Although I didn't mention it in my notes below, the as yet unpublished Cherrypickers recognizes only the 66 and the 72-D.

    like the 66.

    Here's a couple more 1982-P's:

Marty is the king of the 1966 No FG. NGC has graded five at MS67 with none higher. Marty is four of those.

Rick Tomaska is high on them and is asking about $1100 for an MS67.

I think one just sold at teletrade in 67 for about $500-. I thought I had one, but it still had part of the "G" visable. It did come back a 68 from Ngc which is nice, but obviously would have been much nicer as the pop top with no "FG".
  • pardon my ignorance, I have over 150 kennedy's that I bought at an auction a while ago....but never have I heard of "NO FG" What is it? Do I have to take something for it? Is is transmittable to my other kennedy's?

    Thank you,
    Earl

  • These have been found for 1982, 1983, and 1990 as well as 1966. Worth about $3 to $5.

The 66s sell for a tad bit more! If some Yahoo would quit making the MS67s! they would sell for more!
It is not exactly cheating, I prefer to consider it creative problem solving!!!

Problem is finding them for that price is next to impossible. Locating some of them is a pain too. Let me know if you have some for that price and I'll take them off your hands.

I'll take everyone you can find at twice that - no limit. That's a quick doubling of your money.

    And I'll triple that!!
  • Ah....thanks for the link, 1956Quarter. Didn't realize it was an error not to have the designers initials. Guess I have to go back and look at every one of them again.

I looked through my stash and found one so I put that baby up on eBay. One of those coins I couldn't remember why I bought it until I read this thread.
