They issued a 2004 PROOF £2 Britannia and I did not know it until now.

This is weird because they usually only issue proofs on a design change??????????

The 2004 proof will feature:

Hmm the 2004 proof has been out for some time. I hope you can still get one, the BRM has a habit of advertising items on the website that are sold out.

You are right that they usually only issue proofs on a design change but maybe they will put out proofs every year as they sell, just like the US mint.

FYI- I had two on order (as of like 2 months ago) and they sent me a letter last week saying they had not gotten their supply (or something like that) so there would be a delay in getting the order to me. I cancelled the order.
